Welcome to Second Grade!

My newsletter will come home weekly in the red folders.  Please make sure to read it, as it will let you know of important school events, things happening in the classroom, upcoming tests, etc.  I will also update this website every Sunday night.  Do not bring the red folders back until Friday with the homework stapled together.
You will need to purchase second grade paper from the office.  All writing assignments done in class or as homework will need to be done on second grade paper.  

The Scholastic code for ordering books online for second grade is NM4HN.

Our Fruit of the Spirit this month is SELF-CONTROL.

Our next and last  book report will be on a book of your choice  that has 75 pages or more.  We will be doing this report in class.  Please have the reading done by May 31st.  

In spelling, we are on unit 33.   Your child is responsible for 15 spelling words, 4 challenge words, and  and 3 dictation sentences.  The test is on 5/31.

In math, we  will continue with multiplication and division. Please refer to the Friendly Notes.

We are reading Pushing Up the Sky  this week.  Our test is on 5/31.

In social studies, we are learning about People Who Make a Difference.  Out test is on 5/31. Please review the study guide.
