About Me

To give you a little information about myself, I was born and raised in Granada Hills, California.  I received my bachelor’s degree in Social Science, with an emphasis in Sociology, at the University of Southern California and my teaching credential from Mt. St. Mary’s College.  While I was working on my teaching credential, I taught first grade for three years.  I then completed my credential and worked as a second grade teacher for two years at Los Angeles Unified School District. I then became a substitute teacher for several years at LAUSD, teaching K-5, after I had my first baby.  It has always been a positive, rewarding, and fun experience working with the parents, staff, and students.  Teaching second grade is my favorite grade to teach.  I love watching them grow, mature, and gain independence through the many activities, lessons, and fun field trips I have planned.

On a personal note, I have been blessed with three beautiful daughters who all attended First Presbyterian Preparatory School and I have had the privilege of staying at home with them for the past 14 years. I have been a part of this school's community for twelve years as a parent, PTA treasurer, PTA president, Room mom, substitute teacher, and a second grade teacher.  My oldest daughter, Sofia, is nineteen years old, entering her second year at Moorpark College.  My middle daughter, Zoee, is almost 17, entering her senior year at Chaminade High School and Ava, my youngest, is fourteen years old, entering  her freshman year at Oak Park High School.  We spent the summer hiking, going to the beach, seeing family and friends, and my older two daughters got their first jobs.  I can’t wait to hear all about your summer adventures!! I am looking forward to working with each and every one of you as  you thrive in second grade!
